  This was my first time in southern Cali. Can you believe it? I've vacationed and taught workshops in San Fran, Montery, Carmel and Big Sur, oh and Yosemite. But never been to LA or San Diego. I liked them! Everything in CA is washed with this incredible warm light. You don't get those qualities on the east coast. Denver has incredible light. But it's different than California's. I really enjoyed the short time I had there. The Hotel Del Coranado took me back to Marilyn Monroe and Some Like It Hot. That movie is hillarious if you've never seen it. In case you didn't get the title, I'm from Tennessee ( I know, you would have sworn I'm a yankee with this accent) and it was my first time in southern Cali., and I probably came across as a Jed to most natives.
