  • THE Blasting Room

Yesterday I hung out with the guys from Battleship Agenda (along with my son Nick) at the Blasting Room.  A ton of bands I've shot have recorded their albums there.  Nofx (Melvin my man!),  Rise Against (my favorite!),  Casualties (gotta love Jake), Reno Divorce (guys are like my brothers), etc.  Andrew the recording engineer put up with us all day.  He was a sweetheart.  All that was missing was Kat, their lead singer.  She wasn't due to record that day so she stayed home.  It was amazing.  The details that go into a song are unbelievable.  These guys are real pros though.  It didn't take them near as long to lay out the song as it would other musicians.  My son, Nick, is majoring in music at the University of CO (he's in the blue stripped shirt).  So he was really psyched to be there.  We're both friends with these guys.  I shot Battleship's first show at the Bluebird here in Denver.  So it was really cool that we got to hang with them.  BTW, the song they wrote, totally kicks butt.  Can't wait to hear it on the radio.

  • Genuine Luxury From Simple Inspirations

Wow! I fell off the face of the earth!  We've been so busy this summer with weddings.  Come winter, you'll be sick of me I'll be blogging so much!  Anyway, I just got back from a workshop with Joe Buissink.  But more about that later.  Here's something else I've been working on with Andres Jimenez and Kristy Chenell.  Andres is the Executive Chef with the Ritz Carlton here in Denver and Kristy owns Couture Consulting by Chenell also here in Denver.  Both are a blast to work with.  And right now our big project is still in development.  Soo... I can't tell you what's going on.  All I can do is show you a few images.  I promise more will be coming.  This is Kristy and Andres' baby.  It's going to be really cool when it's up and running.

  • Elizabeth and Brett

We had so much fun at Elizabeth and Brett's wedding!  They were married at Cherokee Ranch and Castle (http://www.cherokeeranch.org/) in Castle Pines, CO.  Her whole wedding party and guests made us feel like family.  Elizabeth's mom, Joyce Goeppinger, is a wedding coordinator (as you can see!).  She did a fabulous job with the wedding.  Elizabeth and Brett both love to have fun.  You can see their engagement images on a previous blog.  They wanted a French style wedding taken from the movie Marie Antoinette.  They got it!  Everything was simply gorgeous.  But most importantly, their guests all had a wonderful time.

  • Ashlie and Brad's Engagement

What can I say? Ashlie and Brad are too cute together! Their wedding is coming up really soon. We had a blast out shooting their engagement session a couple of weeks ago. Ashlie gets to ride around with Brad in that really cool boat I shot too. (it belongs to her parents). They are a fun couple who love to laugh together. Check out how cute they are:

  • Elizabeth and Brett's Engagement

I get the best couples! Elizabeth and Brett are getting married next month. They wanted to do something different for their engagement shoot. So... We rented a '55 Bel Air Convertible (you know how I love those convertibles!) and went to Moonlight Diner to shoot here in Denver. These are some of the pages from their guest book I just finished designing.
